Wan’Dale Robinson injury update is good news after ‘cheap’ hit from Bears defender

During what was a heated practice between the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears on Thursday, Wan’Dale Robinson was forced to leave early.

Robinson took what Titans head coach Robert Saleh deemed a “cheap” hit from Bears safety Xavier Woods, which led to the wideout undergoing concussion tests.

Thankfully, there’s good news to report on the veteran wide receiver after initial testing.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Robinson was checked for a concussion and it is believe he has avoided one.

“Titans WR Wan’Dale Robinson, who was checked for a concussion yesterday after joint practice, is not believed to have suffered one, source says,” Rapoport reported.

“The team will continue to monitor him to make sure concussions symptoms don’t arise. But positive early indications,” he added.

As Rapoport notes, it’s not impossible for concussion symptoms to pop up, even after all this time, but for now it looks like Robinson is doing OK.

Robinson is coming off a career year in 2025 that saw him post 92 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns with the New York Giants.

When it was all said and done, Robinson ranked as WR14 overall, according to Fantasy Pros.

However, that showing comes with a very important caveat, as Robinson was the top target in a wide receivers room devoid of talent after the season-ending injury to Malik Nabers.

Now with the Titans in 2026, Robinson’s outlook isn’t as positive.

Not only does he have to catch passes from Cam Ward, who had a disappointing rookie season, he also has a good amount of competition for targets.

Flanking Robinson will be first-round pick Carnell Tate and veteran Calvin Ridley, and tight end Gunnar Helm should have a sizeable role, also.

One thing Robinson does have working for him is that he’s reunited with his former head coach and play-caller, Brian Daboll, who is Tennessee’s offensive coordinator.

The familiarity between Daboll and Robinson could give the veteran a leg up in Tennessee’s offensive game plan.

We’re extremely skeptical that Robinson is going to be able to re-create what he did last season given what we know about Ward and Robinson’s competition for targets.

Pencil Robinson in as a low-end flex option until we see him consistently produce in Nashville.
