The Washington Commanders prepare for their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 13th. NFL teams are required to cut their rosters down to 53 players by 6 p.m. ET on Sunday. Teams will be able to form 17* player practice squads on Monday after the noon deadline to claim players on waivers. The Commanders currently have 91* players on their roster, and need to trim 38 players.
