Curaçao took the more direct route to the International Championship, including a dominant 12-3 victory over Latin America on Wednesday. The Caribbean representative has already shown it can handle Japan as well, beating the Japanese team 6-0 earlier in the tournament.

Japan has responded impressively since that loss, working its way through the elimination bracket and winning five straight games to earn another shot at Curaçao. Japan punched its ticket to Saturday with a 4-1 win over Latin America on Thursday. The winner advances to Sunday’s Little League World Series Championship against the U.S. champion.
