The anticipation for the 2026 Presidents Cup has reached a new high as U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy unveiled their respective rosters on Tuesday. This year’s event will take place at the prestigious Medinah Country Club, adding to the excitement surrounding the competition.

Snedeker's U.S. team will feature a mix of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers. Alongside automatic qualifiers, including the reigning FedExCup champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Snedeker has chosen Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Jacob Bridgeman, and the standout rookie Jackson Koivun. This diverse lineup aims to continue the U.S. team's dominance in the Presidents Cup.

Xander Schauffele is a key player for the U.S. team, boasting an impressive record in the event. He has never lost a singles match and holds a strong 4-1 record in foursomes when paired with Cantlay. Justin Thomas, making a comeback after missing the previous edition, brings a wealth of experience and a perfect 6-0 record in Four-ball matches, although he has yet to secure a singles victory in this tournament.

Among the newcomers, Jackson Koivun stands out as a significant addition. The 21-year-old recently turned professional and made headlines by winning his first title at the 3M Open just weeks after his debut. His rapid ascent in the sport has positioned him as a player to watch in the upcoming competition.

Chris Gotterup and Jacob Bridgeman also join the U.S. squad as rookies. Gotterup has had a remarkable season, winning three times on the PGA Tour and being considered a contender for Player of the Year. Bridgeman showcased his talent by defeating Rory McIlroy at the Genesis Invitational, demonstrating his potential to perform under pressure.

On the International side, captain Geoff Ogilvy has selected Corey Conners, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Nick Taylor, and Ryo Hisatsune to join the automatic qualifiers. Among these picks, Echavarria is the only player who secured a victory on Tour this season, making his debut alongside Taylor and Hisatsune. Sungjae Im, who finished strong at the end of the season with five Top-15 finishes in his last six events, will also be a crucial player for the International team.

The Presidents Cup has historically favored the U.S. team, which has won the last ten editions of the tournament and holds an all-time record of 13-1-1 against the International team. The only victory for the International squad came in 1998 at Royal Melbourne. The upcoming event, scheduled from September 24 to September 27, will be broadcast live on NBC and Golf Channel, promising an exciting showcase of golf talent.
