FC Internazionale Milano has officially appointed Dario Baccin as their new Chief Sport Officer, following the immediate departure of Piero Ausilio from the club. This significant change comes as Ausilio, who dedicated nearly three decades to Inter, has mutually agreed to part ways with the organization.

Piero Ausilio's tenure at Inter was marked by a series of important roles, starting from Club Secretary to Head of Organisation, and later as Youth Sector Director. His journey with the club took a pivotal turn in December 2010 when he began working with the First Team. In February 2014, he was promoted to Sporting Director and Head of the Technical Area. During his time in this key position, Ausilio played a crucial role in helping Inter secure nine major trophies, including three Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia victories, and three Supercoppa Italiana wins. His contributions also led the club to three European finals, including two in the prestigious UEFA Champions League and one in the UEFA Europa League.

Giuseppe Marotta, President and CEO of Inter, expressed gratitude towards Ausilio, stating, “I would like to thank Piero on behalf of the entire Club, the ownership and every single employee in the great Nerazzurri family. Piero and I have shared moments of joy, victories, intense work and enormous passion.” This sentiment reflects the deep appreciation for Ausilio's extensive contributions to the club's success over the years.

With Ausilio's departure, Dario Baccin steps into the role of Chief Sport Officer, a position that is expected to bring continuity to Inter's management structure. Baccin has been closely associated with the First Team and the Technical Area, making him a familiar face within the club. Marotta noted, “Dario knows the Club well and is now ready to embrace the new role that the ownership and I have chosen for him. It is an innovative appointment that also ensures continuity in our management.”

Baccin's experience includes overseeing the establishment of the Under-23 side, which was developed in conjunction with the First Team, aiming for the club's progressive and sustainable growth. His familiarity with Inter's operations and strategic vision positions him well to lead the club into its next chapter.

As Inter Milan continues to build on its legacy, the appointment of Dario Baccin as Chief Sport Officer signals a commitment to maintaining a strong foundation while looking towards future successes in both domestic and international competitions.
