Just hours after making his debut with the Indianapolis Colts in preseason Week 3, wide receiver Keenan Allen has reportedly been arrested for alleged DUI.
The news comes from Justin Powell of FOX 59, who cites an IMPD police report and jail booking records.
The DUI arrest occurred in downtown Indianapolis around 1 a.m. ET.
“According to an IMPD police report and jail booking, a 34-year-old Keenan Allen, matching the description of the Colts player was arrested for DUI in downtown Indianapolis around 1 a.m.,” Powell reported.
The report has since been confirmed by other outlets, including by The Athletic, which notes Allen was charged with a pair of misdemeanors for his alleged DUI.
“Colts WR Keenan Allen was arrested Sunday morning and charged with two misdemeanors for DUI, according to online jail records,” The Athletic’s James Boyd wrote.
Allen was officially signed by the Colts on Aug. 19 with the team having major depth concerns at wide receiver.
The Colts played their final preseason game against the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday and it was Allen’s first with Indianapolis.
Allen finished the contest with one catch for 24 yards.
