The Greensburg Lady Pirates maintained their perfect start to the 2026 volleyball season with a commanding victory over the Rushville Lady Lions on Tuesday. The match concluded with the Lady Pirates winning in straight sets, 25-13, 25-7, 25-9, bringing their record to an impressive 6-0.
Leading the offensive charge for Greensburg were Roma Robbins and Claire Larrison, each contributing nine kills to the team's total. Victoria Stier and Audra Gehl also made significant contributions with six kills apiece, while Makenna Ripperger added five kills and setter Ali Wells chipped in with three kills. This balanced attack highlights the depth and versatility of the Lady Pirates' lineup.
Wells not only excelled at scoring but also orchestrated the team's offense with a remarkable 31 assists during the match. Kirkley Lowe supported with two assists, while Emma Herbert and Stier each recorded one assist. Raegan Benge was instrumental in setting the offense with 12 assists.
Defensively, Laney Seegers led the Lady Cougars with 11 digs, while Martin and Raegan Benge contributed eight and six digs, respectively. The team also showcased its blocking ability, with Somers and Riley Benge both recording two solo blocks.
North Decatur's Lady Chargers also saw success on Tuesday, defeating the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles in three sets, 25-18, 25-19, 25-22, improving their record to 6-5. Miley Scudder led the charge with a remarkable performance, tallying 22 kills along with four aces and ten digs. Lanee Rennekamp provided 38 assists, while Eliza Kennely anchored the defense with 11 digs.
Finally, the Batesville Lady Bulldogs faced off against Lawrenceburg in a thrilling match that went to four sets. Batesville emerged victorious with scores of 25-22, 21-25, 30-28, and 27-25, showcasing their resilience and competitive spirit in a tightly contested matchup.
