Manchester United remains interested in acquiring Louis Page, an 18-year-old midfielder currently playing for Leicester City in League One. This information was shared by journalist Ben Jacobs during a recent segment on The United Stand. Jacobs indicated that Manchester United had previously been comfortable with the idea of signing Page, potentially agreeing to a deal that would allow him to remain on loan at Leicester for the current season.

Jacobs elaborated, stating, “My information is kind of that Man Utd were comfortable signing him and either pre-agreeing or loaning straight back to Leicester.” He also noted that while Page's participation in a recent match against Plymouth should not be overanalyzed, there remains a significant gap in valuation between the two clubs. He suggested that negotiations could continue in the coming days, with the possibility of a pre-agreement still on the table.

Despite the ongoing discussions, Jacobs emphasized that the potential move for Page to Manchester United is not off the table. He remarked, “Louis Page to Man Utd is not dead, and even if they pre-agree it outside of the window, it won’t change that much because I suspect he was always going to stay at Leicester this season anyway.” This indicates that while a transfer may not happen immediately, Manchester United is keeping a close eye on the talented midfielder.

Page has made a strong impression in League One this season, contributing one assist in five appearances for Leicester City. His performances have showcased his capabilities as a central midfielder, making him one of the standout young talents in the league. Given his current form, Manchester United could benefit from securing Page's services as they look to bolster their midfield options.

With his contract at Leicester City running until the summer of 2029, it may prove challenging for Manchester United to negotiate a favorable deal either in January or at the end of the season. Nevertheless, Page's energy and work ethic on the pitch have caught the attention of scouts, and his ability to create chances for teammates further enhances his appeal.

Page is primarily known as a box-to-box midfielder, but he also possesses the versatility to play as a defensive midfielder or in a more advanced role if needed. His shooting ability from long range adds another dimension to his game, making him a valuable asset for any team.

As Manchester United looks to the future, Page represents a potential investment that could pay dividends in the long run. His talent and youth suggest that he could develop into a key player for the club, challenging for a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford. With the right guidance and opportunities, Page has the potential to become a prominent figure in the Premier League.
