Peyton Beaumariage, Cole Bates win Anderson Aid Pest Control Athlete of the Week vote

Athletes from Marlington and Minerva high schools won the voting for the Anderson Aid Pest Control Stark County High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 17-23.

Peyton Beaumariage of Minerva is the girls winner and Cole Bates of Marlington wins for the boys. Peyton Beaumariage, who plays golf, received 50.7% of the votes cast. Cole Bates, a football player, received 43.4% of the votes cast.

A total of 10,056 votes were cast overall.

Shot team-best 35 at Great Trail for the unbeaten Lions in a win over West Branch shooting 76 to finish 15th in Magnificat Invitational at Avon Oaks Country Club.

Recovered two fumbles, made one sack and scored a defensive touchdown in a 31-6 win over Warrensville Heights.
