Ousmane Dembélé (29), who started in Paris Saint-Germain’s opening-day draw against Stade Rennais, will be rested against Lille OSC on Friday, as per a report from RMC Sport.
Dembélé started against the Breton club. However, the Ballon d’Or winner struggled. With PSG 2-0 down against Rennes, he was subsequently hooked at half-time. He was replaced by Ferran Torres, who netted a second-half brace in order to secure a 2-2 draw for Luis Enrique’s side.
However, Dembélé won’t be around to face LOSC on Friday night. RMC Sport reports that a decision was made by Luis Enrique and the rest of the management to rest the France international. He will miss the match and not return to training until Monday. It means that Torres could be in line for a first start for Les Parisiens. With the recruitment of Mika Godts and Maghnes Akliouche this summer, PSG are well stocked in the attacking sector this season.
