The Liga F season commenced with an exhilarating Madrid derby, where Real Madrid triumphed over their city rivals Atlético Madrid with a score of 3-2. This match not only marked the beginning of the Liga F campaign but also showcased the intense rivalry between these two teams.

Felicia Schröder made headlines during her Liga F debut, contributing significantly to Real Madrid's victory. The 19-year-old forward scored two goals, with her first coming just eight minutes into the match. Lotte Keukelaar set up the opener by skillfully evading a defender and delivering a precise pass that allowed Schröder to finish from close range. Shortly after, Sandie Toletti extended the lead for Real Madrid with an Olimpico goal, as her corner kick sailed directly into the net, catching Atlético goalkeeper Lola Gallardo off guard.

The first half was a rollercoaster of emotions, culminating in three goals within a span of 11 minutes. Atlético's Synne Jensen managed to score twice, sandwiching Schröder's second goal, which was a well-placed shot from the edge of the box. This thrilling back-and-forth kept fans on the edge of their seats as both teams displayed their attacking prowess.

However, the match also had its share of drama. Schröder's debut came to an abrupt end when she received a red card early in the second half for kicking out at Rosa Otermín. Following her dismissal, Gio Garbelini also saw red for a similar offense, resulting in both teams finishing the match with ten players.

In other Liga F action, defending champions Barcelona started their title defense with a commanding 5-0 victory against Costa Adeje Tenerife. Despite losing several key players during the summer transfer window, including Alexia Putellas and Mapi León, Barcelona displayed their depth with new signings making an immediate impact. Caroline Graham Hansen opened the scoring, followed by a brace from Clàudia Pina, and a debut goal from new center-back Renee van Asten.

Athletic Club also began their season on a high note, overcoming Badalona 3-1 after initially falling behind. Clara Pinedo's long-range equalizer sparked a comeback, with Ane Azkona and Jone Amezaga securing the win for Athletic.

In a clash of newly-promoted teams, Deportivo Alavés defeated Valencia 2-0, with Kumba Zainab Brima marking her debut with a goal. Ainhoa Guallar added a second with a stunning lob from distance, sealing the victory for Alavés.

Real Sociedad faced a disappointing start to their season, losing 2-0 to Logroño United, who celebrated their first competitive match since rebranding. Flavine Mawete and Cristina Redondo scored for Logroño, leaving Sociedad in search of answers after a tumultuous week.

Madrid CFF also enjoyed a successful start, defeating Granada 3-1. Goals from Sakina Ouzraoui Diki, Kate Taylor, and Ailing Herrera secured the win, although they conceded a late goal that denied them a clean sheet.

As the Liga F season unfolds, the opening matchday has set the stage for an exciting campaign ahead, with teams eager to establish their dominance and challenge for the title.
