KARACHI: As Pakistan gears up for their highly anticipated Test series against England, former Test opener Sadiq Mohammad has voiced his support for a stable squad, urging selectors to avoid making drastic changes following a recent drawn series in the West Indies. With the first Test set to commence soon, Sadiq believes the confidence gained from their Caribbean performances positions Pakistan well to compete in the challenging English conditions.
The three-match Test series will kick off in Leeds on August 19, and Sadiq has pointed out that the unusually warm weather in England could diminish the traditional advantage that home seam bowlers typically enjoy. He remarked, “With such hot weather in England, the pitches will play normally, like Pakistan.” This observation suggests that the conditions may favor Pakistan's batting lineup, which has shown resilience in recent outings.
