Auburn transfer forward Keyshawn Hall has committed to St. John’s, he told On3.
The 6-foot-7 senior averaged 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game this past season, earning Third Team All-SEC honors. Hall was recently granted a fifth year of eligibility through an injunction in the Ohio lawsuit, challenging the NCAA’s new age-based eligibility rules. However, the NCAA has since been granted a motion to stay the injunction, temporarily pausing the court’s decision. Therefore, Hall is currently ineligible, but he and his attorney are working through legal options in hopes of allowing him to play for the Johnnies this upcoming season.
Assuming he regains eligibility, Hall will help fill the void left by St. John’s forward Donnie Freeman, a transfer from Syracuse, who will miss the entire 2026-27 season after suffering an Achilles injury.
Hall, one of the top available players in the transfer portal, joins forces with another major addition for St. John’s in former Baylor small forward Tounde Yessoufou, who averaged 17.8 points per game last season.

In addition to St. John’s, Hall drew interest from Kentucky, USC, Houston, SMU, Gonzaga, and several other programs. Prior to considering a fifth year of college basketball, he played NBA Summer League with the Miami Heat.
Keyshawn Hall arrived at Auburn last offseason via the transfer portal from UCF, where he earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors after averaging 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game for the Knights. Prior to UCF, Hall played his sophomore season at George Mason (16.6 PPG) and his freshman season at UNLV (5.4 PPG).
